Hi I’m LaShonda or aka Shonda. I’m a wife and mom of two beautiful children. 

I struggled immensely with my new identity as a mother, I couldn’t understand why I felt so many intense emotions all at once. I didn’t know how to process it. Before I could figure out how to be a mom of one, I became a mom of two! I honestly didn’t know how I would adjust at the time.

During my second pregnancy, God promised me that it would be different from the first and I believed Him. My post-partum journeys were very similar, I struggled with post-partum depression and hopelessness in both. However a couple months after my daughter was born, God began to speak me. He promised me a new perspective and I hope to share more about that story soon!

Hope Now lives Here started as a hashtag on Instagram where I started posting little glimpses of my story and journey of overcoming and becoming all at once. I was prompted by God to start blogging again and to share transparent moments about my life. While I’m no open book, I wanted to be obedient so here I am doing what God asked me to do!

I hope to encourage you through sharing more about my life as a wife and mother, walking in my God-given identity and calling.
